Statement of Purpose
Knellwood aims to provide Residents with an environment which is:
- Caring appropriate to their individual needs and rights
Carers will strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality, and privacy of all residents within a warm and caring atmosphere, and will be sensitive to their individual medical, cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social needs. Residents will be encouraged to participate in the development of their individualised Care Plans and their family and friends may contribute to this.
The Board of Management and the Staff will together show equal care and respect to all Residents, regardless of each individual’s religion, culture, or ethnic origin, gender or sexual orientation, political affiliation, marital status, or disabilities.
All of our staff will be appropriately qualified to deliver these high standards of care. A continuous staff training programme ensures that these standards are maintained in line with the current professional and national guidance, practice and requirements.
The Board of Management and the Staff ensures that all Residents receive written information on Knellwood’s facilities and procedures, including information as to how to make complaints or suggestions, and how we deal with them.
