Knellwood is an award-winning care home in Farnborough for residents aged over 65.

It is rated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as ‘Good’ in all areas, and is one of the top 20 out of over 2500 care homes in South East England.

Knellwood provides excellent residential,  nursing and short-stay care for up to 52 seniors.

The home was opened in 1947 as Farnborough’s memorial to local servicemen and women who gave their lives in the Second World War. Priority is given to applications from those living in the Farnborough area or with relatives in the borough.

Qualified nursing staff are on duty 24 hours a day and each member of our dedicated, caring team benefits from an ongoing training programme that reinforces our aims and objectives. All staff are carefully selected and we will only recruit those who demonstrate the skills and commitment necessary to meet the needs of our residents in a friendly and caring manner.

Our staff turnover is very low and we consider it to be one of our strengths. The vast majority have been at Knellwood for many years. As a result, we all have the benefit of getting to know our residents very well as individuals and they get to know us. This ceates a ‘family’ atmosphere. The aim of the home is to provide individual, person-centred care in a safe, warm environment which respects residents’ rights to privacy, dignity and personal choice.

Our team is responsible for agreeing and implementing care plans, tailored to individual needs and designed to ensure the best possible quality of life for every resident at Knellwood. The Registered Manager and Senior Nursing Staff are always available to discuss personal requirements or to answer questions.
